A woman riding pillion on a motorcycle died after falling off Barapullah Flyover in south Delhi when the vehicle was hit by a car on Sunday, the police said.
The motorcycle was being driven by the victim’s husband who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS and is critical, they said.
The impact of the collision was such that Nisha flung off the bike and fell 30 feet below.
Her husband, Sunny, hit the railings on the flyover and sustained injuries in the head and legs. The duo from Dwarka Sector 7 was coming from Trilokpuri after attending a marriage function, the police said.
The traffic on the flyover from Sarai Kale Khan to INA remained blocked for 30 minutes due to the accident.

The police received a PCR call at 8.16 pm regarding the accident following which a team reached the spot. They found the woman lying near a drain under Barapullah flyover.
She was rescued and taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead, the police said.
“We found a sedan and a motorcycle at the accident spot,” said an officer.
An eyewitness allegedly told the police that the car was in overspeeding when it hit the motorcycle from behind. The accused driver got off his car and fled, they said.
During investigation, the car was found to be registered in the name of one 65-year-old Dr. Madhur, a resident of Nizamuddin. No arrest has been made yet, the police said.
“We have registered an FIR under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving), 304 A (causing death due to negligence) at Hazarat Nizamuddin police station against the offending driver.
