The application process for direct admissions to the Post-Graduate level will commence from June 12 and the entrance exam will be held on July 6.

The department is also offering M.A. in East Asian Studies, M.A. in Japanese Studies and Ph.D. in East Asian Studies. Admissions to all these programmes will be based on an entrance exam held by the department.

Students who graduate from this department find placements with leading think-tanks as well as corporate houses.

“Learning a foreign language is always an added advantage and the knowledge of an oriental language increases your job prospects.
