What scarcity, asks DJB

June 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Claiming that the condition of water supply in the city is better than any summer season in the past, Aam Aadmi Party legislator and vice chairman of Delhi Jal Board Kapil Mishra accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of protesting over an issue which does not exist.

As a counter charge, Mr. Mishra said that the BJP workers are protesting as the AAP government has been able to improve water availability conditions besides implementing several initiatives to increase piped water network across the city. Mr. Mishra put up 10 questions for the BJP to answer on the issue.

“Some party workers led by party president Satish Upadhyay protested outside the DJB office. I fail to understand what was the protest about? Not a single BJP leader to date has brought to our notice about water scarcity in their area. And now, along with a handful of supporters they are protesting over water crisis,” said Mr. Mishra.
