A 31-year-old criminal, with a bounty of ₹50,000 on his head, was arrested for allegedly killing a woman in Dwarka in 2018. He is involved in eight criminal cases, the police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said that the accused identified as Jagdeep Deswal alias Sonu had allegedly killed Kamlesh, live-in partner of Rajiv alias Monu Ishapur. The latter had allegedly killed Jagdeep’s brother Sandeep alias Mental.

The police said that in May 2018, Sandeep was allegedly killed by Monu over a land deal. Sandeep’s family believed that Monu’s partner Kamlesh was involved in the murder after which they decided to avenge the murder and eliminate him.

The police claimed to have arrested Jagdeep following a tip-off from Dwarka Sector 6 where he had come to meet his friend to collect money to move to a safe place.
