Kejriwal asks media to spare wives, children of party leaders

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal once again targetted the media on Tuesday, stating that a “few media houses are making efforts to defame the Aam Aadmi Party and government” and that they have decided to boycott them. Speaking to a TV news agency on the controversy surrounding party leader Kumar Vishwas, Mr. Kejriwal alleged that their family members were being “targetted”.

“Why are you (media) targeting our children and wives? We have decided to keep quiet now. Questions about our govt will be answered, won’t answer on this,” Mr. Kejriwal said.

Stating that for the past two to three months some media houses have been maligning the party’s image, Mr. Kejriwal said: “You (media) have an issue with us…you spare our family, our children and our wives. News is being run that Kumar Vishwas has illicit affair with someone... Vishwas is denying it, the girl herself is denying it. Till now we have been giving clarifications, but what has happened with Vishwas yesterday, it’s very bad.”
