A proposal regarding extending the metro line to Noida Extension is likely to be tabled in the upcoming meeting of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, said CEO Debashish Panda on Thursday.

“With many group housings coming up in Noida Extension, the population density is high. More flats will be handed over to buyers in the coming days, which is why connectivity needs to be improved,” said Mr. Panda.
Last year, the Akhilesh government had given its nod for the construction of a 15-km metro project that would connect Noida’s Sector 71 with Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park. A deadline of March 2021 had been set for the project.
