Shehzadi, whose entire family is in police custody for killing her boyfriend Ankit Saxena, is concerned about her 12-year-old sister.

The counsellor assigned to Shehzadi said the woman was worried about her sister as she doesn’t know her whereabouts. The girl was allegedly at Shehzadi’s house when the 23-year-old photographer was killed.

Being counselled

No one has come to meet her at her observation home yet, added the counsellor.

Shehzadi is the eldest child in her family. Her 16-year-old brother has also been apprehended for killing Ankit.

“After the incident, the minor girl was being taken care of by her maternal aunty. They have left the city and are staying at their relatives place in western UP. She is safe. We will communicate the information to the woman,” said a police official.

The police said that Shehzadi will be kept under observation at the shelter home and a counsellor will attend to her daily.

The police said that when Ankit was on his way to pick up Shehzadi from the metro station, he was confronted by her family members near his house.

Unable to go anywhere, Ankit asked one of his friend to go to the metro station and be with Shehzadi till he called them. After not receiving a call from Ankit for a while, the friend inquired with some people and got to know about the killing. The duo then returned to Raghubir Nagar, and later he took Shehzadi to Khyala police station.

“We told her about Ankit’s death around 10 p.m. when there were some woman constables with her. She broke down. She does not want to meet her family members who are in police custody,” said the police.
