‘Set example of good citizenship’

On the eve of the 72nd Independence Day, Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday paid homage to the sacrifices of those “who laid down their lives to deliver freedom to us”.

“Independence Day is an occasion for us to renew our pledge to serve our nation with greater sincerity, commitment and truth.” He urged Delhiites to set an example of good citizenship and emphasised the need to treat all with respect, “irrespective of caste, class, gender or religion”.
