The Delhi government has invited applications for admission to its five ‘Schools of Excellence’, which are fully English medium schools.
The students who have passed Class X from government/ government aided/ unaided recognised schools of the Directorate Of Education can apply for admission to Class XI. Applications have also been invited for Class IX.
Selection of candidates for admission to Class XI will be based on merit in the entrance test. A separate merit list will be prepared for science (medical) stream, science (non-medical with computers) stream, commerce stream and humanities stream, the DoE said
Non-refundable registration fee of ₹50 in cash for entrance/ screening test for admission to Class XI of Schools of Excellence will be deposited by the applicant at the time of submission of the registration form.
The entrance/screening test will be conducted simultaneously on the same date and time for all five Schools of Excellence.
Therefore, one student can register for the test for one School of Excellence only, said the DoE.
Schools of Excellence were announced by the Delhi government to provide fully English medium education to deserving students in the Capital. The schools will slowly be extended from nursery to class XI.
