A man, who was released from jail earlier this year, was arrested in connection with the murder of a man last month, the police said on Thursday.

The accused, Narendra Koli, is involved in several murder cases and was arrested on April 16 following a tip-off that he would be arriving near Ritz Cinema, they said.

The deceased, identified as Harish, also has a criminal background. He allegedly encroached on one of the properties belonging to Koli in Haryana’s Bhiwani when he was in judicial custody in another murder case, G. Ram Gopal Naik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) said.

When Koli came out of Jail in January, he asked Harish to abandon the property. When Harish did not do so, Koli, along with his accomplices hatched a plan to eliminate Harish, the officer said.
