Missing shelter home residents: DCW asks DCP to file status report

December 14, 2018 01:31 am | Updated 01:31 am IST - NEW DELHI

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Thursday summoned Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crime Branch, over the matter of nine residents going missing from a shelter home in Dilshad Garden in the Capital.

One girl and eight women had gone missing from the shelter home on December 2 and have not been traced yet.

“It is shocking that it has been over 10 days and nobody has any clue about their whereabouts so far. In view of the same, the DCW issued summons to the DCP, Crime Branch, to personally appear before the Commission and apprise us of the current status in the matter. Further, the case file in the matter has been sought,” said Swati Maliwal, the chairperson of the women’s commission.
