Decision after CM returns from London

Haryana Public Works Minister Rao Narbir Singh said on Sunday that the route for expansion of the Metro in Gurugram will be decided by the month end.

Speaking at the inauguration of an open mini-gym at a park in Sector 47, the Minister said the decision on the route will be made after Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar returns from his London tour.

Mr. Singh said efforts are being made to ensure the metro passed through the railway station in old Gurugram city to bus stand and towards Dwarka in Delhi.

Mr. Singh said the Metro will definitely come up to Subhash Chowk on Sohna Road.

Elevated highway

The Minister also said that construction work of elevated highway from Subhash Chowk across Badshahpur village on Sohna road will start by June 15. He added that tendering process for the ₹1,900-crore project was completed.

He said 20 intersections with high traffic volume have been identified across the city to construct small underpasses.
