Man throws shoe at judge

Unhappy over the acquittal of an accused in a 2011 murder case, a man hurled his shoes at a Saket Court judge here on Friday, the police said. Manoj Kumar, a 34-year-old resident of Taimur Nagar, was arrested for throwing a shoe at Judge Lokesh Kumar Sharma.

The police said that Mr. Kumar was a witness in the 2011 murder case.

Mr. Kumar was booked for obstructing a public servant from discharging his functions and assaulting or using criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty.
