A 23-year-old was allegedly stabbed to death by an acquaintance in north-east Delhi’s Seelampur on Monday night, the police said on Tuesday. The accused has been arrested. DCP (North-East) Atul Kumar Thakur said victim Sufiyan and accused Javed (37) are both residents of Seelampur.

The police received a call around 8.30 p.m. from the hospital regarding a man who had been brought dead. Probe revealed that Sufiyan and Javed got into a scuffle near Jafrabad Pulia. “Javed had an ice pick. The two men got into an argument which turned violent and Javed stabbed Sufiyan with the ice pick,” Mr. Thakur said.
