Man robbed of ₹37 lakh at gunpoint

A gas agency manager was robbed of cash worth ₹37 lakh at gunpoint at South City-I here on Monday in broad daylight, the police said.

Urvashi gas agency manager Mahender Singh had left his house with the money in a car along with his driver around 11 a.m., when two men wielding countrymade pistols waylaid him at some distance and robbed him. The two then escaped on a motorcycle with another accomplice. Mr. Singh was going to the bank to deposit the cash. Around half-a-dozen teams have been formed to arrest the robbers and a case has been registered, the police said.
