Man attacked with blade in East Delhi

June 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - NEW DELHI:

A 28-year-old man had his face slashed with a blade on Sunday evening by another who suspected him to be a police informer. The accused, who was apparently drunk at the time, was arrested later. Police said the incident was reported around 10 pm from Mayur Vihar in East Delhi. The victim had been identified as Nand Kishore, a resident of Trilokpuri.

“Vicky, the accused, came to Kishore and demanded that he accompany him to the nearby Chilla village on his bike,” said a police officer.

According to Kishore, Vicky attacked him at an isolated spot after accusing him of having passed on information about him to the police. Kishore received serious injuries on his left cheek. “One police team rushed Kishore to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, while another team arrested Vicky,” said the officer.

Since Vicky too was injured, he was taken to the same hospital, where he created a ruckus.
