Majumdar meets Kejriwal

May 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Senior bureaucrat Anindo Majumdar, who was removed as Principal Secretary from Services Department and General Administration Department (GAD), met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal here on Friday.

According to a senior government official, it was a one-on-one meeting which lasted for around 10 minutes. Mr. Majumdar was removed last Saturday by Mr. Kejriwal for issuing an order notifying the appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as the acting Chief Secretary following a direction from L-G Najeeb Jung.

Though the Lt Governor had declared his removal ‘void’, the AAP government did not allow him to resume work and had locked his office on Monday.— PTI
