The Delhi Lokayukta’s office has sought some clarification from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari in regard to his complaint against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satyendar Jain alleging a “scam” in the construction of classrooms at government schools.

Mr. Tiwari, through a notice, has been asked to present himself at the Lokayukta office for his submission on July 30.

The Lokayukta has registered Mr. Tiwari’s complaint filed on his behalf by leaders and legal team of the Delhi BJP on July 4.

Mr. Tiwari and other leaders have on several occasions attacked the AAP government alleging “abuse of position” and “corruption” to the tune of ₹2,000 crore by Mr. Sisodia and other AAP leaders in the construction of over 12,000 classrooms at government schools.

The AAP hit back by sending a notice of criminal defamation to Mr. Tiwari and other BJP leaders.

Reacting to the charge, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Mr. Sisodia had dared Mr. Tiwari to get them arrested and challenged him to come out with a list of 10 schools in BJP-ruled States which could be compared with those run by the Delhi government in terms of quality.
