Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal, at one of his fortnightly ‘theme-based’ meetings with the Delhi Police, reviewed the community policing initiatives, at Raj Niwas here on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Home, GNCTD, Commissioner of Police, Special Commissioners of Police and Joint Commissioners of Police.

The meeting started with a review of the ‘action-taken points’ at a meeting on ‘Traffic Management’. The L-G was briefed about the work done by the 6 Task Forces constituted in January. “He also directed for a standard operating procedure for the traffic police to be put in place to increase their visibility on roads,” said a senior official. The L-G was also informed about the action taken to prevent entry of non-destined vehicles in Delhi.
