L-G assures Cong. team of action

June 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - New Delhi:

A delegation of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), led by its president Ajay Maken, met Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung on Monday over the allegedly worsening condition and facilities at the government hospitals of the Capital.

Mr. Maken said the striking doctors were asking for basic facilities which were well within the domain and capabilities of the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Government.

Mr. Maken said the onset of monsoon would lead to the spread of many contagious diseases like dengue, and if the doctors remained on strike, it would create a serious problem for the people.

The L-G assured the delegation that he would take appropriate action to address their concerns.
