Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met Nagaland Governor PB Acharya and discussed the establishment of ‘North East India Support Cell and Monitoring Committee’, announced by the AAP government in August.

Kejriwal, who met Acharya at Nagaland House here, discussed various matters pertaining to the committee including membership.

In August, Delhi Government had announced that it would form a body to handle issues confronting people from the Northeastern States residing in the national Capital and for their “better resolution”.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Governor, while interacting with student community leaders and scholars hailing from Nagaland, said that he extends full support to the Delhi Chief Minister on his desire to have a North-East cell to help the people from the region living in Delhi.

“Today, I met Chief minister Kejriwal and congratulated him for having such a viewpoint. I gave him a few suggestions on my part. I also requested Delhi CM that whenever he’ll implement his idea. We will give him some representatives from Nagaland to be members of the cell,” the Nagaland Governor said. —PTI
