In a joint operation by Delhi Police and Excise Department, an illegal bar operating in Hauz Khas was raided and huge quantity of liquor was confiscated, said the police on Sunday.
Police said that the Excise Department got tip-off regarding an illegal bar operational in Hauz Khas. On Saturday, a team of Excise Department entered the bar ‘Wrong Turn Cafe’. During the raid, it came to the notice that imported and country made liquor were being served without valid licence. Huge quantity of illegal imported liquor, several coupons, bar menu, cash and other documents have been taken into possession.
“We apprehended the bar manager Malkiet Singh. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of Delhi Excise Act,” said a police officer.
