Girl mauled by pack of stray dogs

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly mauled by a pack of stray dogs at Mukhmelpur village in north Delhi’s Alipur on Monday morning.

Morning attack

Anshu, a Class IV student of a government school, was on her way to a nearby park around 5.30 a.m. when she was attacked. The family said Anshu was going to meet her friends at the park when she was attacked by nine to 10 dogs.

Condition improving

The girl was rushed to a hospital in Narela and later to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. The family said her condition was improving but she was in a lot of pain.

Her father Santosh Sharma, who is a carpenter, told The Hindu , “This is not the first time that something like this has taken place.”
