DU appoints officers for students’ union polls

Delhi University started the process of its students’ union elections on Monday by appointing Prof. C. S. Dubey from its Geology Department as the chief election officer for the conduct of the election of office-bearers and members to the central council of the Delhi University Students’ Union.

Prof. R. C. Kuhad from the Department of Micro-biology has been appointed the chief returning officer and deputy dean of the information centre Dr. Satish Kumar has been appointed as the returning officer. The principals of colleges and heads of institutions have been appointed have also been appointed as the election officers for the conduct of students’ union elections in their colleges and institutions.

The Vice- Chancellor is the patron of the Delhi University Students’ Union and its elections are conducted by the university administration.
