DMRC to distribute 8,000 free saplings

As part of ‘adopt a tree’ campaign

The Delhi Metro, in association with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), will distribute 8,000 saplings of native tree species at 20 metro stations, officials said.

The initiative is part of the ‘Adopt a Tree Campaign’. The saplings will be distributed free of cost at the stations from 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. every Thursday and Friday in August and September. The saplings will be distributed at 20 stations, including Huda City Centre, Chhattarpur, GTB Nagar, Hauz Khas, Dwarka Mor, Nehru Place, Jamia Millia Islamia, Rajouri Garden and Botanical Garden.
