Delhi Tourism has organised a refreshing pit stop for the city residents at Dilli Haat in INA, which has a variety of summer coolers to quench parched throats on offer.
The annual three-day Sharbat Mela is being held here over the weekend and will offer a variety of traditional drinks to Delhiites looking to beat the heat. The festival shall continue till June 7.
On offer are drinks like thandai, lassi, jaljeera, mango shake, aam panna, sattu and kokam, apart from chuski, kulfi, faluda, cold coffee, ice creams and fresh fruit juices.
Visitors can also shop for traditional products like ittar and gulabjal while sampling the drinks or sample a new range at the craft stalls here.
The special attractions this year are organic squashes and juices from Navdanya with drinks made of Ladakh himalayan berries, seabuckthorn and rhododendron juice, which also hold medicinal value, on offer. Companies like Hitkari, Hamdard, Simbhavli Sugar Mill, Mother Dairy and Aroma are among those participating in the mela this year.
A children's park has also been set up here. The evening will have cultural programmes by Sahitya Kala Parishad.
