Delhi Assembly’s Budget session from June 23

The Budget session of the Delhi Assembly will start here on June 23 with the tabling of the economic survey and presentation of the State Budget for the remaining nine months of the current financial year being on top of the agenda.

According to the official sources here on Saturday, the Budget will be presented on June 26, while the economic survey will be tabled in the House a day prior to the Budget presentation.

The session, which will continue till June 30, will witness general discussions on the State Budget.

A financial provision to continue the power subsidy, which is scheduled to come to an end this month, is likely to be made during the session.

Official sources said two to three Bills were also likely to be tabled during the eight-day Budget session.

The Delhi Government had presented the vote-on-account in the Assembly in March this year for April to June to implement various financial schemes.

The Plan outlay of the order of Rs. 16,250 crore was announced for 2015-16, while an allocation of Rs.21,500 crore was made for the non-plan expenditure.
