China has evinced interest in setting up a world class industrial township in Haryana. It was conveyed at a meeting the Chairman of the Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group, Wang Jianlin, had with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The Chinese delegation sought information from the Chief Minister on the various industrial townships set up in Haryana.
China’s Wanda Group has come to Haryana to explore investment opportunities as a sequel to the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China to draw foreign investment. Mr. Khattar assured the Chinese delegation full support of the State government in setting up the industrial township. He briefed the delegation on the potential Haryana had for setting up various ventures. Strategically located on the outskirts of Delhi, Haryana offers abundant possibilities for investment and development, he said.
Mr. Jianlin told the Chief Minister that their proposed industrial township would not only be limited to industry but would be a smart city in itself. Culture, entertainment, hospital, school, food park and university besides other services would form part of the proposed township. He said that they believed in completing the project fast. It would spell employment and earn the State lot of revenue, he added.
