January 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Attacks on Northeast residents living in Delhi was not discussed on Friday when Bharatiya Janata Party chief ministerial nominee Kiran Bedi briefly met representatives from the party’s northeast cell.

“In our quick interaction, Ms. Bedi told us that she is very familiar with the Northeast and has served as an officer there,” said a spokesperson from the cell.

“The objective is to make sure that Ms. Bedi becomes Delhi Chief Minister. We are actively campaigning in the 20 Assembly segments of Delhi, where several people from the Northeast reside and have voting rights,” he added.
