The cut-offs of various colleges for the 2019-20 session is likely to go higher as Central Board of Secondary Education exam results across the country show that 92,299 students scored above 90% and 17,693 above 95% in Class XII.
This is an increase of 21,700 students scoring above 90% and 12,737 above 95% as compared to last year, which paves the way for fierce competition in which every decimal point will make a difference.
The Delhi University (DU) is yet to open its admission portal.
However, if there is no entrance examination for undergraduate (UG) course like last year, the students of Delhi will be competing with those from across the country for approximately 57,000 seats.
They will need near perfect scores to get admission as options in the city apart from DU remains limited.
Over the past decade, Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has become a popular choice for those wanting to pursue non-science courses. The university ensures that students from Delhi have an advantage over other applicants. It also has a quota for Co-Curricular activities and for a Single Girl Child.
