Members of the All India Students’ Association (AISA) on Friday met Union Minister Hardeep Puri over demands of metro concessional passes for students.

“Since last year, the students of Delhi University have been fighting consistently against the costly transportation in the city, which has made it unbearable for them to commute every day to college. Mr. Puri accepted our demand and assured that the matter will be taken up once the fare fixation committee is set up,” said Kawalpreet Kaur, president of DU wing of AISA.

On Tuesday, a delegation of AISA had met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanding AC bus passes for students.

The Chief Minister had assured the students that the proposal will be expedited.
