Admin knew outsiders entered varsity: JNUSU

‘Visitors’ log says Ram Mandir Rally’

The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) on Thursday said that although several members of the JNU administration were denying that a rally was carried out on campus by Swadeshi Jagaran Manch which has close ties with the RSS, the security department of the university in its entry register had written the reason for entry as “Ram Mandir Rally”.

The JNUSU questioned how the administration claimed it was unaware of the rally when the security department has made a clear note of it. “This means, the JNU administration is complicit with spreading communal agenda,” said the students.

“The JNU administration which does not have answers for the alleged financial mismanagement and corruption regarding fellowship money, library fund cut, closing down of small vendor-run dhabas, conduct of JNU’s online entrance examination, decimation of reservation in last two years’ admissions, removal of sanitation workers for asking bonus, is allowing communal propaganda to flourish on campus,” the students’ body said.

JNUSU president N. Sai Balaji said that for continuously exposing the JNU Vice-Chancellor and the administration’s “corruption”, the proctor’s office has tried to silence and intimidate him by sending him a notice for using derogatory words against the Vice-Chancellor.
