AAP-Cong don’t have the culture of respecting women, claims Tiwari

Reacting to Congress Spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi’s allegations of “misbehaviour” meted out to her by party workers in Mathura, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Thursday said that both Aam Aadmi Party and Congress “do not have the culture of respecting women.”

Mr. Tiwari lashed out at the two parties and said while both Congress and AAP have demanded women empowerment, the parties have failed to “respect its own women leaders.” “Both the parties have been making unbecoming comments against the women which clearly shows that these parties do not have the culture of respecting women. The Congress workers misbehaved with the woman leader in Mathura, but Congress President Rahul Gandhi is silent on the issue,” Mr. Tiwari said.

He added that with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the general secretary of the party, she should “take a stand on the rights of women and clarify why they should trust the Congress party.”
