• November 23/24, 2010: Two female BPO employees are dropped near their house in Moti Bagh area by their office cab around 1:10 a.m.

• November 23/24, 2010: Five men hailing from Faridabad, Haryana, who have been following the BPO cab pull one of the girls in the Mahindra pick-up vehicle at gun-point. Other girl rushes towards the residential area.

• November 24, 2010: The victim phones the PCR at 2:25 a.m. stating she was kidnapped by five boys who raped her and dropped her at Mangolpuri.

• November 24, 2010: Victim taken to the police to Safdarjung Hospital for medical examination. Then they are brought back to the police station, Dhaula Kuan, from where they are taken to the Mizoram House.

• November 26, 2010: One of the five accused namely Shahid surrenders in an old criminal case in Faridabad to conceal his involvement in the gang rape.

• December 2, 2010: Police nabs Shamshad and Usman, two of the five accused from village Dhuaj in Faridabad. They turn out to be cattle thieves.

• December 4, 2010: Shamshad and Usman are identified by the victim in a test identification parade in Tihar Jail.

• December 4, 2010: Accused Shahid is brought to Delhi from Faridabad jail. Fourth accused Iqbal is also nabbed.

• December 4, 2010: Fifth accused Kamruddin also nabbed.

• February 2, 2011: Court proceedings begin

• August 3, 2011: Charges of rape, gang rape, criminal intimidation and kidnapping framed against all five accused.

• February 21, 2014: After prosecution examining 57 witnesses, accused record their statement before the court. They deny their involvement in the crime.

• September 8, 2014: Court reserves judgement.

• October 14, 2014: Fast track court holds all five accused guilty. Sentence to be pronounced on October 17.
