A chilly morning with a mist cover greeted Delhiites on Friday as the mercury sinked to below nine degree Celsius while the Weatherman predicted further dip in temperature in the coming days.

The minimum was recorded at 8.6 degree Celsius, down from yesterday’s 9.4 degrees, a Met Department official said.

Today’s minimum, however, was one degree above normal during this period of the year.

A thin layer of mist engulfed the city early in the morning.

The Met department forecast a misty and foggy morning tomorrow with the minimum and maximum temperatures expected to be around eight and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

During the past week, the temperature in the city has been oscillating between eight and 25 degrees Celsius.

The season’s lowest of 7.9 degree Celsius was recorded on November 28, which was also the lowest for the month of November in the past three years.
