The condition of former Delhi Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Madan Lal Khurana, who underwent a surgery after he suffered a brain haemorrhage last evening, is stable “as of now”, doctors said today.
The 75-year-old former Union minister fell unconscious in his home at around 6 pm yesterday and was rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
“His condition is stable as of now but we cannot comment on his recovery till 48 hours are over,” a neurosurgeon attending on the ailing leader said.
“He had an acute subdural hematoma - a rapidly clotting blood collection outside the brain. Immediate surgery was needed to remove the clotting which otherwise would have proven fatal for him,” the doctor said.
The surgery continued for two hours which ended at around 9.30 pm yesterday.
