Delhi Govt hospitals to provide drugs at affordable prices

All Delhi Government hospitals will soon have drug stores where medicines will be made available at an affordable price, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said today.

Dikshit, who inaugurated a 'Jan Aushadhi Generic Drugs' store at the GTB Hospital in East Delhi, said good quality generic medicines and surgical items will be available at the store.

The Jan Aushadhi stores will be function from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm on all working days.

Authorities of the GTB hospital will also procure their institutional requirement of medicines from the Jan Aushadhi store at the hospital.

Dikshit further said Delhi Government is providing top priority to health services for the poor and needy persons.

She also informed that an action plan for upgrade of existing dispensaries has been chalked out.
