3 rob Army Captain of his car, held

Three persons have been arrested for robbing an Indian Army Captain of his car in Dwarka on Tuesday, the police said on Wednesday. Three cars, motorcycles have been recovered while guns, and countrymade weapons have been seized from their possession.

The Army Captain reported the robbery of his car on Tuesday night.

CCTV footage were scanned. It was found that the robbers left the Captain’s car near Sanjay T-point, Mehram Nagar after it got punctured. The robbers required another car to carry weapons they had snatched. They snatched another car from Mehram Nagar and headed towards west district and robbed a third car in Madipur, and abandoned the second car. The police had meanwhile started chasing them that led them abandon the third car as well.

Forensic analysis of the car left behind by the robbers detected some finger prints. Those were tallied with the records and one criminal was identified. “Acting on a tip off one Sahil alias Chintu, who works as a delivery boy in Radisson Blue Hotel Dwarka was arrested. At his instance, Anil and Ashwani were arrested later,” said DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse.
