Three persons, including a woman, were arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket at a hotel in Aerocity. They used to send photos of women to clients over WhatsApp and provide service, the police said on Monday.
DCP (IGI) Sanjay Tyagi said they received information about a sex racket being operated out of a hotel in the vicinity of Aerocity near IGI Airport. Soon, a police team reached the hotel and a decoy customer was told to contact one of the brokers or the accused.
A room was booked in the hotel and the broker arranged for a woman. The broker, identified as Naveen, dropped the girl at the porch of the hotel and took some money in advance. On the customer’s direction, the police team raided the hotel and the woman was apprehended along with Naveen.
The police also arrested another co-accused Riyash Siddiqui. During investigation, it was revealed that the accused were operating the prostitution racket and had taken a hotel on lease at Sector 45 in Gurugram for running the racket in Delhi-NCR. The DCP said further raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused persons.
