A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in front of his father in Rohini’s Meer Vihar on Thursday night, the police said.
The accused have been identified, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) S.D. Misra said that the victim has been identified as Shamsher Alam who runs a vegetable cart with his father Mohd. Salim in a nearby market.
“The PCR received a call at 12.10 a.m. informing about the incident. The police reached the spot and conducted an inquiry. They found that Shamsher and his father were going home when the incident happened. Two persons caught hold of the man and the other stabbed the boy and fled the spot,” he said.
However, the the victim’s father was not attacked, added the DCP.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
The police said that the motive behind the murder appears to be personal enmity since the accused neither asked for money nor snatched his mobile phone.
