‘Mohalla clinic at dhalao site’

February 15, 2017 12:39 am | Updated 12:39 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The EDMC has accused the government of encroaching upon one of its garbage dumps in Bhajanpura to build a mohalla clinic.

As per a police complaint lodged on Tuesday, the dhalao at Noor-E-Ilahi area in Yamuna Vihar was vacated and cleaned by the EDMC following a request by an OSD to a Delhi Minister so a public function could be held on February 11. The EDMC is yet to decide on a plea asking for an NOC to set up a clinic at the site, said the complaint, adding that a brick wall has been constructed there illegally. Sources in the PWD, which is executing the mohalla clinics project, said the site was a garbage dump earlier but wasn’t being used as one any more.
