: Siya (name changed) was another girl to have had a lucky escape on December 13. She and two of her friends had just come out of their school when they found Rastogi waiting for them.

Using his infamous modus operandi which started by winning the victims’ trust, he again pretended to make a phone call and claimed that “your children are with me” as he instructed them to come along.

In the nick of time

“He took us to a house, nearly 250 metres away from my home. But we happened to noticed that there was something in his pocket in the shape of a firearm. Alarmed, we ran away,” recalled the girl. The man went after them. The girls, reached one of their homes, where they took refuge there till Rastogi was out of sight.
