Widow stabbed to death

The police are on the look out for K. Amirthalingam (45), a labourer of Chunnambu Palam in Chundi near Gudalur, who stabbed N. Ramani (43), a widow to death. She was an estate labourer.

She lost her husband Nataraj about seven months ago and was living with his son, a Plus-One student in a government school at Gudalur. Amirthalingam was living alone in the same locality.

They were into a relationship, the police said.A couple of days ago they entered into a quarrel, and Amirthalingam beat her. On Friday he went to Ramani’s house and stabbed her 18 times. The body has been taken to the Gudalur Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.
