Nandi statue
Whenever the water level in Stanley Reservoir goes down, the massive Nandi statue of Sri Jalakandeshwarar Temple of Nayampadi village and the impressive twin towers of a church, which stood in the villages that were acquired for the construction of the dam, used to be seen above the water level.
With the water level rising above 69 ft, both the monuments are gradually getting submerged. Water is up to the neck of Nandi statue and up to the mantle of the twin towers.
