Water level drops at reservoir

With discharge stepped up to 2,000 cusecs at Lower Bhavani Project canal, water level at Bhavani Sagar Reservoir has dropped to 104.98 ft as against its maximum reservoir level of 105 feet here on Friday.

Due to breach in the left bank of the canal in Mallanaickanoor village on November 7, discharge from the reservoir was stopped and work was carried out. On Nov. 13, initially 500 cusecs was released and it was increased to 1,300 cusecs on Thursday.
