Vigilance awareness campaign

The Hindu in association with Indian Oil Corporation and Sardar Vallabhabai Patel International Textile Institute conducted vigilance awareness week events.

More than 150 students took part in the painting and elocution contest. A signature campaign was conducted by putting up a graft wall. Manash Routray, Deputy General Manager (Retail Sales), IOC, gave away prizes to the winners of the various contests.

GST Commissionerate

Efforts should be taken to spread anti-corruption awareness among children, said U. Sagayam, IAS officer at a vigilance awareness week programme here on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting organised by the GST and Customs Commissionerate here, he said every educated youth to take the anti-corruption message to others. Every one faces corruption in day-to-day activities. Anti-corruption messages should be taken to children and included in school syllabus. He gave away prizes to winners of competitions held for students.
