The Hindu 's annual Women's Day fest “Heels on Wheels” is back. The third edition on Sunday (March 11) gets bigger, better and tougher. It is a woman-centric, fun-filled event to commemorate Women's Day.
The event will be flagged off at Sri Nehru Vidyalaya Grounds on Sunday at 8.30 a.m. by Geetha Padmanabhan, Secretary of GRD Group of Institutions.
The point-to-point car rally, designed especially for young women involves figuring out a set of clues to solve a problem. Each team, consisting of two to four members, will be given a set of clues which they must first solve to reach the next level. The clue or puzzle solved will reveal a task to be done or a question to be answered. The grand finale will be conducted at Brookefields, along with on-the-spot contests and activities. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Brookefields in the evening with cultural events. An all-women Band, “Abis Sounds Good” will perform at the venue. As part of the celebrations Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee, Siruthuli, will be honoured as the Woman of the Year by Anusha, Chief Executive Officer of Park Group of Institutions.
Prizes will also be given to the winners of the safety week slogan contest Madan A Senthil, Chairman of Rathinam Group. The event will be sponsored by Jain Housing, with Park Group of Institutions, Joy Alukkas, Zuhari Furnitures, Shriram Chits as Associate partners. The event is also supported by Classic Polo as Apparel partner, Tie as CSR partner, PSG Hospitals as Health Partner.
