State govts. blamed for increase in pulses price

October 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - COIMBATORE:

State governments and not the Centre are to be blamed for the increase in price of pulses, said BJP State president Tamilisai Soundararajan.

Addressing reporters at the airport here, she said the State governments had failed to act even after the Centre had warned them of pulses position in the country.

On the Dadri killing, she said comments made by leaders did not reflect the party’s official stand.

On the writers’ protest, she said they should not have returned their awards and it was quite unfortunate. They could have expressed their protest in writing.
