The police stopped the marriage of a minor girl near Selvapuram on Sunday.
Selvaraj, the Village Administrative Officer of Selvapuram, received a complaint from the girl’s relative about the marriage and he informed the Selvapuram police on Sunday evening. The police said the families of the bride and groom agreed to stop the marriage and wait till the bride turned 18. No cases were registered.
