Sulur MLA R. Kanagaraj has demanded the arrest of Thiruvadanai MLA Karunas for his rant against Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
Addressing reporters here on Friday, Mr. Kanagaraj said the State Government should act against Mr. Karunaas by arresting him. If the government were not to act against the actor-turned politician, there would be more people like him, stoking communal passions.
Earlier, Municipal Administration Minister S.P. Velumani, who was here to inaugurate the refurbished showroom of Co-optex, said the government had launched several schemes for Coimbatore’s development. The government had ordered the widening of all arterial roads and the work was in progress. The government had initiated many combined drinking schemes and they were in various stages of implementation.
